general.

This first attempt is about Tasker, an Android app that enables the user to tweak and automate the Android smartphone. I have no connection with the author but find the app endlessly useful.

my process

I had a backchannel email about the process used to record this show. I'll paste my response below. ===begin, paste===== recording: I use the "rec" invocation of sox. From memory, something like: rec -r 44100 ${show}-raw.flac ctrl-c to quit recording. editing: audacity save edited file as ${show}-edited.flac encoding: oggenc, no flags. Just "oggenc ${show}-edited.flac" final preparation for upload: ogginfo for comment tagging in the ogg container rename files and .txt as recommended in the README: https://goo.gl/WEvQO ===end, paste=====
